Surface grinding

In the event that the required thickness tolerance or surface flatness of the raw material cannot be achieved by cold rolling (over 0.8 mm) the parts are surface ground. This results in a thickness tolerance and flatness of ± 0.005 mm. Appropriately high demands on these parameters are made especially in connection with products destined for use in aggregate and gearbox construction. Examples are shim washers, rings, equalising washers.
